DJD instructed on Liverpool offices

DRIVERS Jonas Deloitte has been instructed to lease office space at the Novas Scarman Centre in Liverpool’s Baltic Quarter, and The Observatory building overlooking Lime Street station.

Around 25,000 sq ft is available at the recently refurbished Grade II-listed Novas Scarman Centre, from developer and owner-occupier the Novas Scarman Group.

The 160,000 sq ft building is situated within the city’s Baltic Quarter regeneration area and includes a theatre, cinema, art galleries as well as a restaurant and bar.

Separately, DJD has been appointed by UK Biobank to lease 5,000 sq ft of space at The Observatory building located at One Old Haymarket.

Adam Robson, from Drivers Jonas Deloitte, said: “Liverpool’s office market has continued to hold up well throughout the recession, with some significant deals last year such as the UK Border Agency’s move to The Capital as well as a pre-let at Mann Island to the Mersey Passenger Transport Authority proving its resilience.

“Demand for space is being driven by businesses that have either weathered the downturn and want to expand or from those from outside the area that want to take advantage of competitive rental values in a vibrant and growing city.”
