SOUTHPORT’S Bold Hotel has been placed on the market after the family-owned company which ran it called in administrators.

The business, which had been owned and run by members of the Warren family, appointed Dermot Power and Patrick Lannagan as joint administrators on October 5.

The 23-bed hotel is based on Lord Street. It has a seperate bar area, a 75-seat restauarant and a function suite catering for up to 250 guests. The business employs 36 people and currently being as a going concern by administrators in the hope of securing a buyer.

Dermot Power, BDO business restructuring partner, said:  “The difficult economic climate has significantly affected the business. There are a number of parties interested in the business and we are hopeful of securing a going concern sale. The company will continue to trade while a potential sale is explored.”
