THE chief executive of a CCTV company based in Daresbyry Park, near Runcorn, has been competing in the 2010 Le Mans Series of endurance races.

AD Group’s Mike Newton came third in the French race in his teams new racing car.

He said: ““It was a very encouraging start to the year, especially as there’s evidently so much more still to come.”

AD Group has developed its own specialist CCTV systems – and one of its ranges can be used in racing cars to convey images back to support teams.

FINANCIAL advisor and insurance broker Taylor Patterson has become the first broker in Preston to be receive an industry award.

The company has been designated a ‘Chartered Insurance Broker’ which is the industry’s gold standard for insurance brokers.

It also confirms that the company has satisfied the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) commitment to high quality staff, continuing professional development and adherence to an industry code of ethics.

ECONOMISTS Juan Gomez and Dr Mohamed Djeddour will speak at the Coface – UK & Ireland Country Risk Conference in Manchester.

Mr Gomez is head of economic strategy at Manchester’s Commission for the New Economy and Dr Djeddour is head of international business programmes at Manchester Business School (MBS).

They will address more than 250 delegates at the half-day conference on Wednesday 9th June at the Palace Hotel, on Oxford Street.
