Recruiter on track for £60m in sales

A WREXHAM-based recruitment company is predicting a 28% increase in sales for 2011 to £60m.
Gap Personnel said that it is currently placing around 1,500 temporary workers per week with businesses in the North West and 5,000 nationally. Alongside its Wrexham headoffice, the company has offices in Preston, Liverpool, Stockport, Crewe and Warrington.
The company has specialist divisions for the driving, food and drink, manufacturing, technical, distribution, waste management, recycling and automotive sectors, and its Preston office recently completed a company record by placing 300 temps in one day.
Maciek Kaszubowski, accounts manager of the branch in Church Street, Preston, said: “We are delighted to hit record figures, particularly during such challenging times.
“It is also great to be able to help so many people into work as this area has been particularly hard hit by the economic downturn.”
The office has also increased client numbers from 18 to 34, with Butlers Cheeses and Nitecrest among the new recruits.
The company’s operations director, Emma Ceballos, said: “Through a tough year, the team in Preston has remained positive, focussed and determined and these figures show that this attitude has really paid off.”
