NCS seeks to double turnover

ENERGY management company NCS plans to more than double its turnover to £15m over the next three years, following a restructure.
The Manchester-based company designs, controls and monitors systems to help organisations keep their energy usage to a minimum and reduce costs. It works with clients in the retail sector – including Marks and Spencer – as well as the leisure and commercial property sectors.
The company has a turnover of £7m and employs 30 people at its bases in Manchester and Kendal.
As part of its corporate changes, the company has created NCS Holdings which will now operate as a parent company to its two divisions – NCS Cumbria and NCS Mechanical.
Gary Scaife has taken on the role of chief executive of NCS Holdings and will be responsible for supporting the overall development of the group and planning at a strategic level.
Mr Scaife said: “The recent changes will enable us to gear up for what is going to be an exciting new phase for NCS.
“The restructure will allow the business to prepare for significant expansion over the next 12 months and I’m confident that we have the best possible team to meet these objectives.”
He added: “The UK energy management sector is experiencing unprecedented levels of growth and through our groundbreaking work with Marks & Spencer, we are well-placed to capture significant market share. This restructure will enable to us to refine our products and solutions in order to enhance both customer service and delivery.”
Former operations director Chris Norburn has been promoted to managing director at NCS Cumbria. In his new role, he will be responsible for targeting increased business growth and turnover, as well as managing the development of staff and customer service.
Mark Burton will be responsible for the mechanical and service division based from Kendal. Phil Pond has also taken on the role of business development director at NCS Holdings.
