Inspiring Women Awards finalists announced

THE finalists in the 2010 Inspiring Women Awards have been announced.

This year’s event, which has been supported by the Britannia and the Co-operative Bank, has received a record number of submissions.

In the public sector category, the finalists include: Katie McCormick from Regeneration Pennine Lancashire; Andrea Thorley-Baines from Blackpool Council; and Dominique Whittington from Manchester City Council.

The finalists in the social entrepreneur category include: Terrie Johnson from Liverpool-based Fruit to Suit; Nicky Lidbetter from Manchester-based Self Help Services; and Angela Wellon from Oldham-based First 4 Disabilities.

The finalists in the business category include: Jane Davies from Manchester Science Park; Sylvia Hopwood from The Recycle Works; and Justine Wright from Cuckoo Design.

The winners will be announced at the Inspiring Women Awards lunch which will take place at The Midland Hotel, in Manchester, on May 14.
