A RECRUITMENT consultancy based in Altrincham has won the title of ‘outstanding outsourced recruitment organisation’ at a national awards event.

Omni RMS, which specialises in recruitment outsourcing, has clients such as Wilkinson and Allied Irish Banks.

The award was presented by The Recruiter magazine.

A PRINTING and direct mail franchise which has been based in Carlisle since 1973 has been taken over by new owners.

The branch of Prontaprint in the Cumbrian town has been purchased by husband and wife team David and Marion Whittaker. All four of the shop’s staff will continue to work for the new owners.

In recent years, Prontaprint has branched away from its original function as a copy shop to include creative design, business, digital and large format printing and direct mail services.

Former civil engineer David Whittaker said: “My wife and I were looking for a new challenge and we’ve always wanted to run our own business so, after researching the options, we decided to invest in such a strong and established franchise.

“We are looking forward to the new opportunities and challenges – as well as continuing with the core operations that have been so well established over the years, we will be looking to further expand our services to meet rising demand from businesses in the area.”
