Middle England completes Victoria Court refurb

MIDDLE England Developments has launched its new Victoria Court scheme in Liverpool City Centre for the student rental market.

The company bought Victoria Court earlier this year as a derelict building within a conservation area but has since spent £960,000 on its conversion, creating 54 new fully-furnished rooms which each contain a 22″ wall-mounted LCD TV.

The building also has an onsite gymnasium, office and printing centre and will be managed by Middle England Developments’ sister firm, Penlake.

Director Nigel Russell told TheBusinessDesk.com that all 54 of the units had been pre-sold to investors prior to work commencing, for around £42,500 each.
The units attract a weekly rent of £105, although all bills and internet access is included.

Middle England Developments is also underway with schemes at the former fire station at Hatton Gardens and is expecting an application to transform the former St Andrew’s Church on Rodney St into 100 student bedrooms to be heard by Liverpool City Council’s planning committee this month.
