Redrow wins best housebuilder prize

FLINTSHIRE-based Redrow Homes has been named Best Large Housebuilde at the 2011 What House? Awards.

The company beat Berkely Group and Linden Homes to the prize, with judges praising its New Heritage range, which takes its inspiration from the Arts & Crafts movement. Founder Steve Morgan was also praised for his efforts in reminding conservationists and politicians of the importance of the industry to the wider economy.

Kim Peters, sales and marketing director for Redrow said: “Last year we came away with silver; to go one further and win the gold award is amazing and is testament to the hard work of Redrow employees across England and Wales.”

Redrow builds around 2,600 new homes a year.
