Road sweeper firm falls into administration

A WIGAN business that specialises in hiring out road sweepers has gone into administration.
Insolvency practitioners from the accountancy firm Leonard Curtis are now handling North West Site Sweepers after being appointed at the end of April.
According to its website the company emerged from a collapsed haulage company in 1996 and grew to become “one of the leading” sweeper hire companies in the region.
It works with customers operating in a range of sectors including construction, waste disposal and haulage. Several years ago it expanded to the Midlands, opening a depot in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Leonard Curtis declined to comment on the case. According to records at Companies House the business is owned by Christine Bleasdale and Christopher Gilmore.
