Final call for entries to Greater Manchester Green Business Award

ORGANISATIONS have just a couple of days left before entries close for the Chamber’s Greater Manchester Green Business Award.

The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with ENWORKS, the environmental business support service, to launch the new award in celebration of environmental best practice in Greater Manchester’s business community.

Organisations of all sizes and sectors across Greater Manchester are eligible to apply, including Chamber members and non-members. There are two categories: Small Business (fewer than 250 employees) and Large Business (250 or more employees).

Clive Memmott, the Chamber’s chief executive, said: “This award provides the perfect platform for celebrating forward-thinking businesses and organisations that are making the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient future. I would encourage any business or organisation that is proud of its green achievements to seize this opportunity for recognition and apply.”

The shortlist will be announced by mid-January 2012 and the winners will be presented with trophies at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, at the Manchester Central Convention Complex on Thursday March 8, 2012.

The deadline for entries, which are free, is 5pm on Friday December 9. Full entry packs are available at: www.enworks.com/green-business-award.
