Aberdeen’s Chancery is filling up

AGENTS handling Aberdeen Property Investors’ Chancery building in Manchester say space is running out.

Accountancy firm MCR took 6,800 sq ft on a 10-year lease at the building in the city centre last month.

The firm joins Yorkshire Bank, Brit Insurance and Hudson Recruitment at the eight-storey 46,000 sq ft block.

James Evans, director of Savills, says: “The building continues to attract high quality firms such as MCR, and its popularity is evidenced by the fact only 3,500 sq ft remains available to let on the fifth floor”.

Aberdeen, the property investment arm of Aberdeen Asset Management, has recently refurbished the reception area and is installing shower facilities and cycle racks in the basement.
