Expanding CC Spares takes larger premises

A HEYWOOD firm, which supplies catering equipment, has expanded into new premises in the town after taking on more staff.
Commercial Catering Spares (CC Spares) has worked with the Rochdale Development Agency (RDA) and Rochdale Borough Council on its move to Axis Point, at Hareshill Business Park.
The company, a spare part distributor to the UK foods service market, has moved into two units covering 7,000 sq ft – more than doubling the size of its operation.
Jonathan Booth, one of the founders, said: “It’s been a major move for us. We simply ran out of room for employees and stock at our old premises. The RDA has been very helpful in showing us around potential new sites and offering us advice on the move.”
CC Spares was set up by Mr Booth and his business partner Harry Street in 1996 at Southgate Industrial Estate. It employs 32 staff and is preparing to take on four more.
