Two more sign for Charter Walk

ADDINGTON Capital has signed two new long-term leases with existing retailers at Charter Walk Shopping Centre in Burnley.

The firm, which last month gained planning approval for a £3m refurbishment of the centre, has agreed a new 10-year lease with Clinton Cards, which is vacating its store at Unit 58 and moving into the former Birthdays Cards shop at Unit 28. The former Clintons unit, meanwhile, will be occupied by Superdrug on a new new 10-year lease.

Shop fitting will commence in March with a view to being open and trading in the new unit by early May.

Richard Lyons of agents Tushingham Moore said: “The fact that two well-respected national retailers have committed to long-term leases at Charter Walk highlights the confidence that national retailers have in Burnley as a retail destination.”

Tushingham Moore and Keenan & Co. are joint letting agents for the centre.
