Appointments: Carole Nash; SCA; United Utilities

CAROLE Nash has promoted one of its longest-serving employees to the new role of director of products and marketing.
The appointment is the latest in a line of promotions for Nick Baker, 38, who joined the company in 1996.
During his 15 years, Mr Baker has held various management roles in the motorcycle insurance specialist’s products and claims services divisions. He was responsible for the design of the company’s first scheme in Ireland – where it now holds a 50% market share – and for a major affinity deal with Harley-Davidson Financial Services.
In his new role, he will lead a 13-strong product and marketing team and will report directly to chief executive David Newman.
Mr Baker said: “This new role creates much greater focus upon the clearly complementary product and marketing functions and is one I will relish.
“It’s about creating and refining the right products for our customers, generating calls and clicks and securing the very best possible return on the significant marketing investment to which Carole Nash commits annually.”
