Last call for North West Business Masters awards

THE deadline for entries to TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business Masters awards has been extended to Wednesday evening.

A late flurry of entries and inquiries last week has prompted the move. Entries should be submitted online by clicking here , or by emailing nwmasters@thebusinessdesk.com.

Competition is particularly fierce in the North West Newcomer and North West Innovator categories and strong also for the North West Manufacturer and Exporter awards.

In addition there are two more awards for which we would welcome nominations, North West Ambassador – an honour for outstanding leadership – and North West Pride, an award recognising acheievement in the community or for charity by an organisation or individual.

The entries will be assessed next week by a panel of judges of senior business people from across the region, who will then shortlist three contenders per category.

TheBusinessDesk.com will then invite you, our readers to vote too, before the winners are announced at a prestigious lunch event at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on April 26.

Chris Barry, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com in the North West said: “Even in tough economic times it is great to see so many quality businesses putting themselves forward for the awards.

“The North West Masters is a not-to-be missed event and will be a great celebration of business in this region, and I would urge those still thinking about entering to go for it.”

The categories are:

North West Ambassador: Greatest contribution to business in the region
North West Newcomer: Best new business initiative.
North West Pride: Most meaningful philanthropic initiative by a business, organisation or leader
North West Innovator: Sponsored by law firm Cobbetts, this award is for most creative product, idea or original business thinking
North West Exporter: Recognising outstanding success in international markets
North West Manufacturer: The company leading the way in this critical sector.
