Lancs holiday park sold

A HOLIDAY park spanning 20 acres on the edge of the Lake District has been sold by GVA Humberts Leisure for an undisclosed sum.

The Crook O’ Lune Holiday Park, near Lancaster, is an established holiday home site consisting mainly of timber lodges and static caravans.

The park has a licence for 179 static holiday caravans, 57 twin unit lodge pitches and 107 holiday static pitches. It is based half a mile away from Caton in the Lune Valley, within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Peter Smith, director of GVA Humberts Leisure, said: “It is rare for such an established, high quality holiday park situated in such a beautiful part of the countryside to be brought to the market. We received a number of enquiries and we are really pleased that a deal has been completed.”

GVA Humberts Leisure is also selling the freehold of the 11.3 acre Thanet Well holiday lodge park in Cumbria. The site has 82 pitches, with 41 park-owned lodges and 13 owner-occupied lodges. It is currently on the market for £3.75m.

The firm is also selling the Hillcroft Holiday Park at Pooley Bridge near Penrith, which is a 23.3 acre park offering pitches for 219 lodges and/or static and touring caravans.
