Aintree redevelops Princess Royal stand

AINTREE Racecourse has invested almost £500,000 in a redevelopment of its Princess Royal Stand.
The redevelopment has seen the size of its existing bar area within the stand doubled to 5,700 sq ft. A new 16m long main bar, lounge area, a curved champagne bar and a seafood bar have been created within the space – all of which offer views over the racecourse.
Aintree Racecourse conference and events manager Debbie Slee said: “The development of the Princess Royal Stand will give us a more extensive leisure space, with improved facilities both for racegoers and for the many events we hold at the racecourse, from conferences to weddings.”
She added: “At Aintree we are committed to a sustained investment in the facilities. The redevelopment of the Princess Royal Stand follows on from our recent £35m investment to create two new grandstands and the Aintree International Equestrian Centre.
“These developments have positioned us as a strong contender for major business events, exhibitions and conferences, with the new stands able to accommodate up to 600 delegates and the equestrian centre giving us more than 3,700 square metres of exhibition space.”
The project was managed by architects NBDA.
