MSoft buys Cheltenham business

WIRRAL-based software developer MSoft has bought  the MESaLS software product from competitor Allocate Software for an undisclosed sum.

Msoft, which is headquartered at Bromborough, said that the deal will also allow it to open a southern office in Cheltenham, where the MESaLS team is currently based.

MESaLS is an software product that allows councils and other NGOs in the UK and Australia to keep track of community and loan store equimpent.

The firm said that it complements its own ICES system which checks and re-orders certain Matt McAlister, managing director of MSoft eSolutions, said:

“This is a great acquisition as it provides a significant addition to our software solutions portfolio and builds upon our own successful work in the community equipment stores sector during the last decade.

“By joining our own software solutions together with MESaLS we will now have a market presence in over 75 locations around the UK and Australia.

He added thast the deal forms part of an acquisition strategy the firm has put in place. It received funding from the North West Fund for Business Loans, managed by FW Capital.

MSoft was advised by Liverpool-based corporate finance firm Langtons and law firm Bermans.
