Eric Wright on track for railway deals

THE civil engineering arm of Preston-based Eric Wright Group has been given a Principal Contractor Licence by Network Rail – allowing it to act as a main contractor on construction and infrastructure projects across the UK for the organisation.

The provisional Principal Contractor licence is issued subject to a strict set of criteria, and Eric wright Civil Engineering had to go through a two-stage audit to prove its ability to work trackside as well as proving its credentials as a principal contractor.

Adrian Taylor, contracts director for Eric Wright Civil Engineering, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received our Provisional Principal Contractors Licence. It is a reflection of the dedication and hard work put in by the team.

“We now look forward to working with Network Rail and the expansion of our Rail division as part of our on-going commitment to the sector.”
