Optegra buys Altrincham clinic

EYE care hospital group Optegra has bought The Prospect Eye Clinic in Altrincham.
The clinic, which is owned by specialist Brendan Moriarty, treats treats a range of conditions from age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and eye floaters.
The Prospect Eye Clinic will now join a group that already has five private eye hospitals across the UK – including one at Didsbury Point in Manchester. Optegra also plans to make further investments in the clinic, which will continue to be headed by Mr Moriarty.
He said: “Going into partnership with Optegra is an exciting development for The Prospect Eye Clinic, as we will be able to deliver an even better service to patients.
“Day-to-day, it will be business as usual. The clinic will remain in Market Street, Altrincham, where consultations and certain procedures will still be carried out.
“However, surgical procedures will now be carried out at Optegra’s newly built, fully equipped specialist eye hospital at Didsbury Point. So my patients really are getting the best of both worlds.”
