Cowgills targets property sector

ACCOUNTANCY firm Cowgill Holloway has announced the launch of a specialist arm to help developers raise project finance.

The Bolton-based practice, which also has offices in Manchester and Liverpool, said it is targeting both private investors and developers, as well as trading businesses looking to acquire sites. It said it can provide access to senior debt, mezzanine and even equity funding for viable opportunities.

It is being headed by David Rainford, who is a former property finance director with Bank of Ireland. He will work alongside the head of the firm’s property and construction division, Stuart Stead.

Mr Rainford said: “The team speeds up the entire funding process by utilising the complimentary services available within the practice.

“Cowgills has great credibility within the funding and banking community which, when combined with many years of property expertise, enables us to provide a powerful offering.”

Mr Stead added: “We have stayed loyal to the sector in a very tough climate and have further showed our commitment by bringing in a seasoned and well-respected operator in David.”
