Bruntwood lets 20,000 sq ft in Bolton

BRUNTWOOD has let a 21,427 sq ft floor at its Atria building in Bolton town centre following a £5m refurbishment.

KF Group has taken a 21,427 sq ft suite on the second floor at Atria, which is on Spa Road on the edge of Bolton town centre.

The company, which seeks refunds on payment protection insurance for clients, has relocated from Bury and is planning to grow its 170-strong workforce following the move.

The deal is the the biggest letting of office space in Bolton and its surrounding areas in more than five years.  CBRE and Miller Metcalfe were joint agents on the deal.

Bruntwood recently completed a £5m refurbishment at Atria, which included the creation of a new, fully-glazed central atrium and a Grade A-spec upgrade of the office space.

The letting means that the 70,000 sq ft building is now at 96% occupancy.

Bruntwood sales director Andrew Butterworth said: “Since acquiring Atria in 2007 we have invested substantially in the building to ensure it offers spacious and stylish office space of the high quality required by potential customers.

“It’s a very popular building and it benefits from an excellent location and transport links, a flexible floor plan and the highest standard office space.

Martin Terras, head of operations at KF Group, said: “Atria was the perfect choice for our office expansion.  It is a real step-up in quality from our last premises, while its design really gives our new headquarters the gravitas that our introducers and customers would expect.”

Kirsty Littleford, senior surveyor at CBRE, said: “We expect the arrival of KF Group to open up employment opportunities in the area, and add valuable momentum to the town’s economy.”
