Ravensoft boosts growth prospects with new name

MOBILE software specialist Ravensoft has rebranded as Attido Mobile in a move to boost its growth prospects.
The Manchester Science Park company, which was launched four years ago, and has grown to 10 people and turnover of £400,000, said the move was to reflect a closer relationship with 50% shareholder Attido Oy.
Finland-based Attido Oy, backed Ravensoft’s three founders in creating the business, which develops apps as well as providing other software services to businesses.
The move allows Attido Mobile access to a wide pool of resources that will help it attract and serve larger contracts.
Founder and director Chris Byrne, said: “We’re hoping to work more closely and share customers with Attido Oy as we have found our services starting to overlap more frequently.
“The new name Attido Mobile reinforces our love of mobile technology but doesn’t change the fact that, for over 14 years, we have been driving our customers’ businesses through our clever and groundbreaking mobile software.
“We’ve been really pleased with how the business has grown organically over the years but are now focusing our efforts on growth and want to demonstrate to potential customers that we are more than capable of working on large projects.”
Dr Byrne said the company hopes to grow revenues next year to between £450,000 and £500,000.
Attido Mobile’s work includes projects such as the Jubilee Time Capsule and creating an app for RE:Systems for the BT London Live Festival.
Attido Oy, has more than 110 information systems and software professionals in the UK, Finland, Estonia and Latvia and is an Oracle Gold Partner, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and an IBM advanced business partner.
