Appointments: Hill Dickinson; Brian May joins UU’s board & more

HILL Dickinson the law firm has appointed commercial litigator Sharon Williamson as a legal director in its Manchester office.
An experienced finance litigator, she joins from North West rival DWF where she was a partner.

UNITED Utilities, has appointed Bunzl’s finance director Brian May as a non-executive director.
A qualified accountant, Mr May has been with the interrnational distribution company since 1993 and has been finance director since 2006.
Dr John McAdam, chairman of Warrington-based UU said: “Brian’s appointment will strengthen the board’s financial expertise and will contribute to our plans for board succession; we are delighted to welcome him to the board as a non-executive director.”

PROCURE Plus has appointed David Kemp to the newly created role of sustainability manager.
Mr Kemp joins the social housing consortium after working with it as an independent consultant for the past year.
He previously held roles within public and private sector organisations, including Wigan Council, Envirolink Northwest and Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.
Procure said the appointment was part of the its commitment to offering social housing providers specialist sustainability and procurement support, and helping to drive the adoption and understanding of environmental technologies within the region.
