Rische completes student fit-out

TRAFFORD commercial fit-out specialist Rische Group has completed a £500,000 student accommodation job in south Manchester.

It has remodelled 90 bedrooms and kitchens at Ladybarn House in Fallowfield for landlord Accrue Manchester.

Richard Nuttall, the Rische Group contracts manager, said: “It was a mammoth project, taking our designers and tradesmen nearly 15,000 man hours to complete.

“We were very satisfied to be able to complete the work on time and on budget, especially as it took some very creative use of materials and it was essential to be ready for the students’ return last week.”

Rische Group was handed responsibility for completing the building modifications, mechanical and electrical services, energy efficient lighting, new designer en-suite bathrooms, wet rooms and fully fitted kitchens.

In addition, it refurbished the common areas of the building. Riche’s facilities maintenance division will now provide maintenance services to the building.

Accrue acquired the site for £7m last year in a joint venture with Development Securities.
