Actress Gemma Merna launches health drink venture
A NORTH West company part owned by Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna and her new husband have launched a new energy drink product.
Skelmersdale-based Natural Drinks, which counts the actress and husband Ian Minton among its directors, is launching Vitzer at the Leisure Industry Week exhibition in Birmingham.
As well as being a director Miss Merna is acting as a brand ambassador for Vitzer, which is aiming for a share of the £200m vitamin water and enhanced water drinks category.
The vitamin-rich flavoured water will be available in three flavours – Red Berry, Lemon and Lime, and Apple and Pear, all of them sweetened with Stevia extract, a natural leaf.
Ian Minton :“We recognised there’s a wide market out there of 18-30 year olds who lead a busy lifestyle, appreciate the importance of eating and drinking well, as well as staying hydrated, but crave something more exciting than water.
“As a result, we are delighted to announce the launch of Vitzer, a great tasting drink that can be enjoyed guilt-free with zero sugar, zero calories, zero carbs and the additional benefit of multivitamins.”
Mr Minton said the company is focused on agreeing distribution deals. It hopes to have online distribution arranged in the next few weeks and national supermarket in time for the key pre-Christmas/New Year detox periods.
