Furniture retailer J Harris & Sons goes under

A SMALL regional furniture retailer with two outlets in Warrington and a store in Altrincham has been closed down after administrators were appointed.

Administrator PKF told TheBusinessDesk.com that 13 jobs had been last as a result of the demise of J Harris and Sons, a family business with shops on Fennel Street, Stamford Road Altrincham and Liverpool Road, Great Sankey, Warrington,

Joint administrator Kerry Bailey said: “Unfortunately we had to close the shops down with the loss of 13 jobs.

“The retail market is incredibly difficult, particularly for furniture, and they could not generate the volume to make the business pay.”
