PlumbNation achieves 20% sales growth

ONLINE plumbing and heating business PlumbNation says it notched up sales of £14m last year, up 20%.

The Wirral-based business, led by managing director Royden Evans, is aiming for revenues of £50m over the next five years.

Its strategy involves the launch of sister brands, such as ElecNation which specialises in home lighting and electrical products.

Mr Evans, who founded the Bromborough business in 2007, said: “Competition online has never been greater which means that to continue to grow and increase market share we have to innovate, continually add great new products and make the consumer experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

“The launch of ElecNation forms a key part of our business plan to be able to provide customers with the vast majority of their requirements for the home. We want to become the one-stop shop for home improvement.”

He added: “We are pleased to have grown PlumbNation by more than 20 per cent during the past year and now look forward to harnessing both brands in the next phase of our growth plan.”

The PlumbNation site claims more than two million unique visitors and the busines now employs 18 staff, up from 14 last year.
