ROGER Hoyle has stepped down as a non-executive director of venture capital firm Enterprise Ventures after 10 years.

Mr Hoyle is the managing director of recruitment and headhunting firm, Ashley Hoyle. He was previously an investment banker with NM Rothschild & Son.

EV, which is based in Manchester and has offices in Liverpool, Preston, Birmingham, Leeds and Sheffield, said he was keen to pursue other interests.

Chief executive Jonathan Diggines said: “Roger has served on the EV Group board for 10 years and has played an important role as an independent non-executive director as the company has grown.

“The role of a VC is as much to assemble teams as it is to make investments, so his recruitment expertise and his corporate finance experience have both been really valuable over the years. The board would like to thank him for his commitment and contribution. We wish him well in the future.”
