Capital & Centric completes Estuary Banks

MANCHESTER developer Capital & Centric has completed its £6.5m Estuary Banks business park in Speke.

Half the 160,000 sq ft site, close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, was bought by business centre operator Business First in June. Agrochemical insecticide developer and distributor Yanco has agreed a deal for 44,000 sq ft and is expected to take more.

Capital & Centric formed a partnership with Barnfield Construction to develop the former North West Development Agency site which received received £2.54m from the European Regional Development Fund.

Director Tim Heatley said: “We bought the five-acre site from the Homes & Communities Agency just 18 months ago and then built all 80,000 sq ft speculatively.

“It’s rewarding to see it all forward sold before practical completion, especially to see the new jobs it creates for south Liverpool.”

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson said: “This development represents a significant investment in South Liverpool and will help further boost the reputation of Estuary Commerce Park as a great place to do business. I wish it every success for the future.”

Capital & Centric is now preparing to start a 65,000 sq ft business park in Speke.
