Deals double for Zeus

ZEUS Capital, the Manchester-based corporate finance firm, has completed two deals.

It has advised on the acquisition and flotation of a European clinical research firm and a management buyout at a Derby car valeting business.

A Zeus team of Ross Andrews, Andrew Jones and Jamie Peel, John Goold and Alex Davies worked on the acquisition of Venn Life Sciences by Armscote Investment Company for £2.8m and its float on the Alternative Investment Market. A £2.5m placing and a £500,000 vendor placing has also been completed.

Venn Life Sciences is a clinical research organisation providing consulting and clinical trial services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device organisations.

It has operations in France, the Netherlands and Ireland, with a branch office in Switzerland. Zeus’ Nick Cowles, Andrew Jones and Jamie Peel advised Autoclenz on the disposal of two subsidiaries to management for £4m.

Mr Andrews, director at Zeus Capital, said: “We are delighted to have completed these two transactions and they highlight the expertise we have in the public markets to get the best results for our clients.

“To get both announced on the same day is tremendous and the team has been working incredibly hard to achieve these successful outcomes. The admission to AIM of Venn Life Sciences is the 4th listing to the AIM Market Zeus has completed this year.”
