THE Manchester office of leading business agents, Christie + Co, has been mandated to sell a petrol filling station and convenience store.
The asset is in the village of Ashton upon Mersey, which lies to the west of Sale in Greater Manchester.
The business has been owned and operated by the current owner for the last five years, having purchased it through Christie + Co. The owner has maintained high fuel sales at the site and is now looking to pursue other business interests overseas.

ORBIT Developments has let 14,039 sq ft of office space at Ashwood Court, part of the Tytherington Business Park to Metro Rod, the supplier of drainage services.
Metro Rod, which has more than 50 franchised service centres throughout the UK, has moved its headquarters and 80 staff after outgrowing its original premises in Macclesfield town centre.

KNIGHT Frank’s building consultancy team has been appointed to project manage an extension and refurb of Centenary Court, the Burnley base of Calico Homes.
Based on Croft Street, the 16,000 sq ft property will undergo partial re-cladding, as well as a complete refurbishment and fit-out, converting the former ground floor pub and furniture store into offices.
The project team includes the contractors, Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction, architects, Austin Smith Lord and mechanical and electrical engineers, Cundall.
