CHORLEY-based Dreamtex has launched a joint venture with a Danish firm to produce branded bedlinen for the UK market.

The firm, which was set up in September to make and distribute licensed bedding, has struck the deal with SkyBrands, a specialist in branded textiles.

Its portfolio of brands includes Disney, Rovio’s Angry Birds, Skylanders, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, iStyle Originals, Pets Rock and Animal Planet.

Dreamtex’s Anthony Duckworth said: “SkyBrands is a highly successful, forward-thinking licensing company. This partnership is not only a great opportunity for them to expand into the UK market, it also strengthens our portfolio, enabling us to maximise the UK’s revenue potential and build on the success we have achieved so far.”

Dreamtex was advised by a team from law firm Brabners Chaffe Street which included Caroline Litchfield, Tom Burton, Nicola Soden and Richard Whalley.
