Lettings latest: Liverpool move for Regenda; Consolidated signs up four

CONSOLIDATED Properties has secured four lettings, totalling around 55,000 sq ft, at the Manchester Industrial Estate, Oldham Road.

The Alderley Edge-based company has agreed five-year leases with stone wholesaler Premier Stone, for 15,700 sq ft, and kitchen and bathroom specialist Howdens, which has 15,000 sq ft.

The Bavarian Beer and Wine Company has taken 8,600 sq ft, also on a five-year lease. Meanwhile, alcohol free wine and beer firm Alcohol Free Ltd has signed up for 13,600 sq ft on a three-year lease.

John Barton of WHR, sole letting agent for the estate, said: “The roadside location of these units together with their easy access to the main arterial routes of Manchester means that they immediately appealed to potential occupiers and we were able to secure new lettings quickly. Only one unit remains available of 8,000 sq ft.”

NORTH West housing group Regenda has taken space at three locations in Merseyside.

The housing association has moved from Urban Splash’s Matchworks in Garston to a 2,000 sq ft space at Liverpool Innovation Park.

The group, which has its head office in Bolton, has also taken two 500 sq ft offices at Royal Standard House, Bromborough, and in Newton Road, St Helens.

Regional director Steve Newsham said: “The new office on the Liverpool Innovation Park is conveniently located near to the city centre, and the two further bases will allow staff to use hot desks across Merseyside.

“The new arrangements will bring benefits to residents, staff and the business – allowing team members to work more flexibly out in the community, providing a more responsive service to residents, working with our partners and also cutting down on travel time and costs.”

Regenda has around 400 staff. It was formed in 2002 as a partnership between Liverpool-based Maritime Housing and Templar Housing in Macclesfield. Oldham-based West Pennine Housing Association (WPHA) joined the group in 2003, followed by Wyre Housing Association in 2005.
