BiG Storage seals £11m refinancing

SELF-store operator BiG Storage has sealed a £11m refinancing deal.

The Chester-based company, which has six sites across the region, has completed a five-year-funding deal with Allied Irish Bank (GB), moving the relationship from NatWest.
 
BiG Storage, owned and operated by Andrew Donaldson and Paul Fahey, has sites in Chester, Macclesfield, Morecambe,  Lancaster, Handforth and Warrington.

Andrew Donaldson of BiG Storage said “We are delighted to have secured a competitive refinance deal with our new bankers Allied Irish Bank (GB) who we look forward to working with over the years ahead.”

Manchester law firm Kuits Solicitors advised AIB on the deal led by George MacMillan, Liz Winter and Jan Winstanley.

George MacMillan, head of banking and real estate finance at Kuits said: “It has been great to work once again with Mike Rogers and the team at Allied Irish in Manchester.  Our respective firms have held a strong relationship for many years and this mutual understanding of how we operate allowed us to successfully complete this deal.”
