Appointments: Brabners lures SS partner; Ribble Valley Inns & more

NORTH West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has boosted its corporate team in Manchester with the appointment of partner Andrew Millar.

An experienced corporate finance lawyer, Mr Millar joins the firm from international firm Squire Sanders’ Manchester office.

LANCASHIRE-based Training 2000 has announced a series of senior appointments to bolster its board and senior management team.

The training provider, a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses, specialises in apprenticeships and other training across a wide variety of sectors has a new chairman and vice chairman.

Steve Collier, head of business development at Cobham Defence, has moved from vice-chairman to become chairman, while Steve Rumbelow, chief executive at Burnley Borough Council has joined the board as vice chairman.

Steve Gray, chief executive at Training 2000, said: “I welcome these new team members to their positions. They each bring with them a wealth of experience in their own fields and I look forward to benefiting from their knowledge and perspectives in order to drive the business forward.”

MANCHESTER-based cloud computing and network development company Shaping Cloud, has appointed Robert Illidge as marketing director.

The cloud computing and development specialists also aims to create 20  jobs as part of ambitious growth plans. Mr Illidge was formerly with Manchester law firm Ralli.

Managing director, Carlos Oliveira, said: “We are very excited about Rob joining us at Shaping Cloud, he is someone who has impressed us greatly with his work both at Ralli and JCI Manchester. We identified him as someone who would play a key role in our future growth and we are delighted that he has come on-board. ”
