Crewe industrial unit sold in £800k deal
THE industrial premises of two failed businesses in Greater Manchester and Crewe have been sold in deals worth nearly £1m.
A 35,000 sq ft unit at Marshfield Bank Industrial Estate in Crewe, owned by K&M Industrial Developments, has been sold by administrators at Grant Thornton to catering equipment supplier Alliance Disposables for £800,000.
A smaller 13,700 sq ft property on Manchester Road West in Little Hulton, previously occupied by Henderson Engineering, has been sold to Bolton-based polythene sheeting supplier Frank Mercer and Sons for £180,000.
The disposals were handled by the Manchester office of Sanderson Weatherall.
Senior surveyor Rory Dillon said: “We are encouraged by securing these sales, which go to show that successful, well run, owner occupier businesses are expanding their operations and providing further jobs in the current market.”
