Mazars boss Pam Dawes to leave firm in May

PAM Dawes, the North West managing partner of international accountancy firm Mazars, is to stand down at the end of May.
A tax expert as well as a chartered accountant, she will be taking up a new career with Middleton-based scientific engineering company Contained Air Solutions.
As managing partner of Liverpool and Manchester-based firm Chadwick from 2000 she led it into the merger with Mazars in late 2009, after which she retained her regional leadership role.
She told TheBusinessDesk.com: “I have been with Chadwicks and Mazars for 27 years and I just felt it was the right time to pursue a new challenge in a hands-on business role.
“Contained Air Solutions is a business I know well, it’s a client of the firm, and it is in a really interesting sector for me as I really enjoyed science at school and university – they make units in which biological experiments take place.”
Miss Dawes said growing Chadwick in the five years prior to the Mazars deal, is her biggest achievement.
