DWF lures DLA’s Rimmer to lead Liverpool office

CORPORATE partner Paul Rimmer is leaving DLA Piper in Liverpool to become office head at ambitious DWF.

Mr Rimmer succeeds the now retired Andy Green as executive partner at DWF in Liverpool.

His switch represents something of a merry-go-round between the two firms – last year DLA Piper lured DWF’s head of corporate Gareth McIntegart to join its corporate team, then led by Mr Rimmer.

Commenting on his move, he said: “The firm is one of the largest in the region and has a very strong reputation for providing its clients with pragmatic, commercially focused advice.

“I am looking forward to being part of the team at such an exciting time in the firm’s development, and to growing DWF’s corporate offering in Liverpool.”

DWF’s managing partner and chief executive Andrew Leaitherland, added: “Paul is a highly respected figure in the North West business community and we are very pleased that he has chosen to join DWF to lead our business activities in the region, as well as championing the firm’s values.”

Mr Rimmer is ranked as a leading corporate lawyer in both Chambers and Legal 500 directories in 2012, in which he is described as “an expert in private equity transactions” and “a superb lawyer with immense patience, integrity and technical strength”.
