100 jobs go as fashion firm folds

MORE than 100 jobs have been lost at a Liverpool fashion business after it went into administration.

Paul Dumbell and Brian Green were appointed to Fashion Finder (Le Monde) on April 5 and closed the business down with the redundancy of 102 staff.

The company was a retailer and wholesaler of branded women’s fashion wear, and owned the brands Rare London, Opulence, Paprika, 34 Disciples and Coco’s Fortune.

It also operated 26 concessions in Topshop stores across the UK, with its head office and warehouse based in Liverpool. The business was owned by Neelam, Prem Prakesh, Rajesh and Reena Talwar.

KPMG said stock and fixtures and fittings had been sold to Rare Fashion Limited, a newco formed by Fashion Finder’s former management team.

Paul Dumbell, restructuring partner at KPMG, said: “Challenging retail trading conditions impacted Fashion Finder’s cash flow and meant that it could not continue to trade. On appointment, we found that the business was unable to trade as a going concern and took the decision to wind it down with immediate effect.”
