Annual turnover up 6% at Weightmans

NORTH West-based national law firm Weightmans has announced record turnover of £82m for the 2012/2013 financial year.

The firm, which has its headquarters in the Plaza in Liverpool, said the 6% increase in the top line followed growth of 8.7% in its insurance division and a 6.5% increase in commercial work.
 
Weightmans has enjoyed a period of expansion over the last two years – most recently with the acquisition of Semple Fraser’s Manchester office and opening its doors in Glasgow.

John Schorah, who became managing partner on May 1, hailed “another exceptional year of growth and change” for the firm.

He added: “The figures are a direct result of our commitment to exceptional client service, innovative solutions and above all, teamwork. This is a real testament to the hard work of our people.”
 
Looking ahead Mr Schorah added: “Looking forward, over the next 12 months we will continue to invest in our business and strengthen our brand as we continue to grow and develop as a firm.”

As well as Liverpool Weightmans has offices in Birmingham, Dartford, Glasgow, Knutsford, Leicester, Liverpool, London and Manchester.
