Appointments: Pannone; Darbys; JW Lees & more

LAW firm Pannone has promoted two new partners among 23 across the Manchester firm.

In the clinical negligence team Brendan Hope has become a junior equity partner and Julia Hamilton has been promoted from senior associate to fixed share equity partner.

There have been three promotions from senior associate to Legal Director for Damian Hodkinson, (Court of Protection), Madelene Holdsworth, (industrial disease) and Lisa Kelsall (personal injury).

In the business services teams, Martin Hudson and Heather Sanders have been promoted to associate director, Victoria Gerezdi to senior manager and Paul Doyle has become a manager.

Eight solicitors have been promoted to sssociate including Peter Barnard (dispute resolution) Stuart Beatson (corporate recovery) Christopher Briggs (personal injury), David Cook (regulatory), Susan Ehlinger (commercial property) Helen Gaskell (wills, trust and probate) Siobhan Morrison (employment) and Naomi Rainey (family).

FAST-growing law firm Darbys has bolstered its North West team with a key hire.

It has appointed Jonathan Kay, former equity partner head of real estate and finance at George Davies, as a partner and head of its six-strong North West commercial property team.

Simon McCrum, Darbys managing partner said: “This is a significant development for our Manchester operation. Commercial Property is already a flagship team for us but to add a heavyweight lawyer like Jonathan to our Manchester team is very exciting.

BREWER and pub operator JW Lees has appointed Kieran Rabbitt as director of operations – managed houses.

Mr Rabbitt, who lives in Worsley, will take over from the retiring Chris Connolly in August. A former England schoolboy rugby union international, he has previously worked for Innkeeper’s Fayre, Vintage Inns, Harvester, Sizzling Pub Co, Punch Taverns and Stonegate.

WIDNES-based bulk logistics leader Suttons has appointed of Jochen Krapp as regional director of Asia.

Mr Krapp takes up this new position after 15 years with Suttons, most recently as regional vice president business development Asia & Middle East.

Suttons chief executive John Sutton said:“Jochen’s experience in global supply chain and his knowledge and skills in supporting our customers in the region, gives us absolute confidence that he will continue to help Suttons provide innovative supply chain solutions as we grow our operations in Asia.”

LANCASHIRE law firm Harrison Drury has appointed Cindy Pickering to lead its wills and probate team.

Cindy, a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), joins the firm as an associate solicitor after nine years at Forbes Solicitors.

She will manage Harrison Drury’s wills and probate teams at its Preston and Garstang, as well as assisting clients on matters such as powers of attorney, court of protection, trusts and tax planning.
