Lettings latest: Klarius flies into Manchester Airport, Urban Splash signs up three in Liverpool
AUTOMOTIVE parts firm Klarius Group has moved its headoffice function to Voyager House at Manchester Airport.

AUTOMOTIVE parts firm Klarius Group has moved its headoffice function to Voyager House at Manchester Airport. 

The company, which was previously headquartered in Lancashire, is one of three new tenants to take space at the building, which is owned by the airport’s property arm, MAG Developments.

Scientific information firm Farfield Group has also moved its headquarters to the building from Salford, while Advanced Analysis & Integration Ltd has moved into the building, bringing the total amount of office space let to 16,000 sq ft.

“Our recent efforts to highlight Manchester Airport as one of the premier business destinations in the region is starting to pay dividends and we are delighted to welcome these new customers to the portfolio,” said MAG Developments’ property manager Jenny Westhead.

It was advised on the lettings by agency CBRE.

Urban Splash has secured three new tenants in Liverpool, taking the total value of space let to commercial property clients this year to more than 80,000 sq ft.
The firm let 5,500 sq ft at Old Haymarket to 8th Leisure Entertainment, which is launching a cafe/piano bar. Three new clients have also signed up for space at properties on Slater Street –  web design company InVerterbrates, Connected Thought and Tomfoolery Pictures.

Lynn Haime, associate director at Urban Splash, said: “We are delighted to have completed this deal and to welcome even more great tenants to our schemes in Liverpool. The diversity of our buildings, mix of uses and flexibility we offer is evident throughout our Liverpool portfolio.”

The firm has also just let  a 2,164 sq ft unit at its Albert Mill scheme in Manchester to textile company MEDDAX, which trades as Biddle Sawyer Silks.
