Cheshire gets Lawless

CHESHIRE East Council has appointed former Muse Developments director Darran Lawless to lead a new development company called East Cheshire – Engine of the North.

The company will be wholly owned and controlled by the council with the aim of bringing forward land assets worth more than £400m, as part of wider plans for housing and economic growth.

Lawless was development director at Salford-based Muse and has more than 20 years experience in the North West property market.

The council said: “Darran will lead a portfolio of ambitious development and regeneration projects across East Cheshire to release value for the council.”
