Sigma pushes ahead with Norris Green homes

WORK is about to start on the fourth phase at Norris Green in Liverpool which involves the construction of 167 houses.

It is being delivered by Countryside Sigma – a joint venture between regeneration group Sigman and housebuilder Countryside Properties.

Some 107 homes will be for private sale and 60 will be for “affordable rent”. Of these 40 will be managed by the social landlord Liverpool Mutual Homes.

Norris Green is one of six regeneration sites in the city that Sigma is involved in through its partnership with the city council called Regeneration Liverpool.

Sigma, which is listed on the stock market said it will receive £600,000 – equivalent to around 3.4% of the gross development costs. Half will be paid over the next three years and the balance on completion of the sale of the homes.

Graeme Hogg, director at Sigma Inpartnership, said: “Starting on site on the fourth phase of development marks another significant step forward in the regeneration of Norris Green Village and the addition of the new phase will effectively double the number of new homes built on site. We are very pleased to have maintained sales momentum on the scheme where so many have stalled. It is a testament to the quality of housing and environment we are creating there.”
