Lighting firm’s MediaCity move
INTERNATIONAL TV and film lighting specialist Panalux Worldwide, has opened an office at The Pie Factory in MediaCityUK.
The company, which has a network of offices around the world including South Africa and Australia is the latest in a series broadcast service provider to set up a a base at the Salford Quays-based facility.
Steve Smith, managing director, Panalux Worldwide said “This new Panalux office helps to underline our ongoing commitment to the support of regional production in the UK.
“In particular, our presence at The Pie Factory at MediaCityUK, which augments our existing Manchester facility, allows us to provide an enhanced service to an area playing an increasingly important role within the UK film and TV industry.”
Andy Waters, head of studios at Peel Media,the developer of MediaCityUK said: “We hope they will benefit from being next to our anchor tenant the BBC and from being at the foundation of MediaCityUK.”
Formerly a food production line, The Pie Factory is now home to a number of smaller independents and companies establishing themselves at MediaCityUK.
