AN eight-strong team from Manchester branding and design agency Pixel8 has raised £3,000 for Breast Cancer Care by completing a skydive from 10,000 ft.
The team, including founder Nigel Daws and managing partner Jamie Watson, jumped over the Tilstock Airfield at Whitchurch, Shropshire.
Mr Watson said: “It was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time, but nonetheless an amazing experience.”
Pixel8 staff are raising money for the charity after marketing executive Laura Blears and her sister Anna Daws – who is Nigel’s wife – were treated for breast cancer after being diagnosed within weeks of each other in late 2011. Both underwent double mastectomies at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, and are now in remission.

SIX staff at Preston financial adviser Taylor Patterson have completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of The Space Centre which provides services to people with disabilities.
Jason Street, James Thompson, Keith Pressler, Rachel Harper, Gillian Bardin and Chris Bardin completed the 25-mile challenge, which covers Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in under 10-and-a-half hours to raise over £1,300.
Director Jason Street said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support provided by the company’s staff and clients, along with our family and friends. Their generous donations and words of encouragement certainly helped to spur us on as our legs began to buckle towards the end.”
The firm hopes to raise £6,500 for the Space Centre by the end of the year.
