Ghojehvand launches Knutsford restaurant

THE founder of the Manchester Italian restaurant Don Giovanni’s is launching a new venue in Cheshire.

Bahman “Bob” Ghojehvand will open the Don Giovanni Knutsford Bar & Restaurant on Thursday.

Despite the name, it has no link to Don Giovanni’s on Oxford Street which he set up in 1984 and sold three years ago.

The new venture is based at the former Istanbul Grill on King St, a grade II-listed building known as the Old Post Office.

Last November Mr Ghojehvand invested in Manchester-based Italian restaurant Avalanche at the intersection of Booth Street and Clarence Street, but he is now no longer involved.

In a statement he said: “I have been waiting for this opportunity all of my life to find the correct building and location.”
