Tritech plots expansion following land deal

TRITECH, the Cumbrian firm that specialises in underwater imaging, has acquired a plot of land for its new base in Ulverston.
The business, part of the US group Moog Inc, employs 70 people in the town working on design and production.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company aims to build a new facility on the 5.6-acre plot that will allow for future expansion. It is currently based in Morecambe Road.
Finance director Jacqueline McCloy said: “The purchase of the land at Canal Head, Ulverston, marks a turning point in our plans to establish the new premises, which is a significant development not least for the area, but for Tritech as we invest in the technologies and operations to grow our business.”
Tritech also has sales and customer support offices in Aberdeen and Texas, and a design facility in Edinburgh.
Law firm Brabners advised Tritech on the land deal.
